Micro*Color RGB
The Micro*Color™ family of sliders and optical coupler-mounted liquid crystal RGB filters brings precise quantitative color to microscopy, while Macro*Color™ RGB filters offer a large-aperture for OEM applications. By taking each red, green, or blue color plane in sequence, and in perfect registration, these filters capture exact color information at each pixel with no spatial interpolation necessary. This effectively enhances the resolution in comparison with an ordinary "painted-pixel" CCD camera and avoids the color shading inherent in designs that use three CCDs, as well as the complexity of pixel-shift systems.

In addition, Quantitative Imaging (QImaging™) incorporates Micro*Color filters into compact accessory modules that can be attached to their industry-leading FireWire™ cameras. Some models utilize circuitry that directly drives the filters, simplifying operation and optimizing performance.
